About Us:
John and Lesley July 2014We are John & Lesley - a happily married couple from New Zealand.

We both work at home here in Tauranga. Lesley runs her own beauty therapy clinic and John works on the Internet. Both non-smokers.

We have had one house-swap experience so far .. a wonderful month in Paris France. Now we are looking forward to more home exchanges in the future :-)

Our Home:
Our charming house is located at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, Our Housesurrounded by mature trees.

This is our only home so exchanges would generally be simultanious for longer swaps .. or could be non-simultanious for shorter periods (eg. for a 1week exchange).

The features include:
  • 2 bedrooms plus large office
  • 2 toilets plus 1 bathroom (bath/shower)
  • Outdoor spa pool (jacuzzi tub) in bush setting
  • Unlimited Broadband Internet (wireless modem) for your laptop
  • Large park and harbour nearby (150 metres)
  • 100 metres to bus stop
  • Easy short walk to supermarkets, pharmacy, banks, Post Office, restaurants, takeaways, etc.
  • 1 Km from the main town centre of Tauranga (CBD)
  • 10 minutes from some of New Zealand's best beaches

The Weather:
Our seasons are the reverse of USA and Europe. (Summer here is December, January, February and Winter is June, July, August.) We enjoy a temporate climate here in Tauranga, with no hot or cold extremes. Spring and Autumn are especially nice.

Our Area:
The Tauranga/Mount Maunganui region is a truly beautiful part of New Zealand. It is especially famous for its beaches and relaxed lifestyle. Tauranga City is sophisticated and laid back by day and offers a vibrant nightlife after dark. It also features a great variety of quality restaurants offering exquisite cuisine. Mount Maunganui itself is a coastal resort town which enjoys great weather year round, and is a popular destination for those seeking sun, sand and relaxation. 'The Mount' as it it locally known, is a popular centre for beach activities, hosting everything from surf lifesaving events to beach volleyball and national surf contests. A climb to the summit of the Mount, an extinct volcano, is a 'must do' for visitors and offers amazing views of Mt. Maunganui, Tauranga and the beaches, islands and ocean.

Tauranga and Mount Maunganui sit right alongside each other in the beautiful coastal region of the Bay of Plenty. Just a short drive south are the famous towns of Rotorua and Taupo with their stunning lakes. Auckland is just 2 ½ hours north and the snow ski fields are a scenic 3 hour drive away.

We love this area and we know you will fall in love with it too. .
